All of the future activities of the organization are planned with the purpose of relieving the poor, the distressed and the underserved African immigrant population and other minority group living in New York City.

AHC services are as follow:

  • AHC provides health education and information on such topics as HIV/AIDS, diabetes, mental health, asthma, obesity, smoking cessation, pregnancy, childbirth, etc. These activities will serve to lessen the burdens of the government by providing information vital to the welfare of the community and which the government would otherwise provide. It also serves to combat community deterioration by informing the public of health risks and ways to stay healthy and avoid contamination. Individuals trained and educated in the respective areas of health will run these workshops.
  • AHC serves as a bridge between mainstream service delivery systems and the African immigrant population. The purpose of this activity is to relief the poor, distressed and underserved immigrant population by providing easier access to the services and programs they need. Our referral program will include referrals to the following: health insurance, employment, child care, immunization, GED, food pantries, housing, immigration services, etc. This list, however, is not inclusive. This program will be conducted by trained case managers.
  • AHC provides case management for our individual clients. This service will relieve the poor, distressed and underserved immigrant population by helping new immigrants to better integrate into American society so that they can maximize their potential and achieve stability for their future.  more services
