We would like to introduce you to the AHC a nonprofit organization located in Harlem, New York City. We are a multilingual information clearing house and referral service. Our purpose is to provide health education, immigration and social support services to newly arrived immigrant populations in New York City with an emphasis on the African population.

Through our network of referral services and dissemination of health, immigration and social welfare information, the AHC mission is simple and clear.

Our mission is to serve as a bridge between mainstream service delivery systems and the newly arrived immigrant population, creating partnerships that will advance the mission of the corporation.

The African Hope Committee is comprised of professionals from a myriad of backgrounds including health, education, and legal who have between them over fifteen (15) years of experience in community outreach and service. As concerned New York City residents, the members of AHC have compiled information and referral service networks that facilitate positive behavior modification strategies in assisting the newly arrived immigrants in staying physically, emotionally, and socially healthy.
